The Flint Literary Festival is Now the Flint Festival of Writers

Why the name change?

As a part of our ongoing mission to create accessible, engaging opportunities for writers of all ages, abilities and levels of experience, we hope this name change more clearly represents who we are and want to be—a space to celebrate writing and writers of every kind.

As we go into our third year, we are also moving to a new space—The Ferris Wheel at 615 Saginaw St. in downtown Flint.

This year’s event will take place on Friday, September 13 and Saturday, September 14, and feature many of the same types of events attendees have come to love—featured readings from both locally and nationally renowned writers and authors, engaging panels and workshops, a carefully-curated book fair, and an open mic—as well as a few new surprises.

Check back soon for more information about this year’s lineup!
